Chettinad Cuisine is an exotic cuisine that offers a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and has become famous all over India, especially in the south.
The Chettinad Cuisine is characterized by a wide selection of meat and fish cooked in tamarind and roasted spices. These spices and rice varieties were chosen and introduced by Chettiari (inhabitants of the area), to meet their needs during their business trips throughout Southeast India.
